The Stündenglass Beverage Cloche is a specialized culinary and mixology accessory designed to introduce aromatic smoke infusion to a variety of drinks and dishes. Tailored for both professional bartenders and home enthusiasts, this two-piece system operates alongside the Stündenglass Gravity Infuser to direct generated smoke from combustible wood chips into a sealed environment. By encapsulating glassware or small plates within its clear dome, it allows flavors from hickory, applewood, or cherry to thoroughly permeate the contents. This provides a consistent and visually engaging method for preparing smoke-infused cocktails and gourmet recipes without altering the original texture or temperature of the consumables.
Durable Dome and Base Construction
Designed for frequent use, the unit features a sturdy two-piece construction consisting of a transparent plastic dome and a solid wooden base. The dome provides a clear view of the infusion process while effectively trapping the smoke. Measuring an 8.5-inch interior height and a 4.5-inch diameter, the chamber offers ample space to accommodate standard lowball or highball glasses, making it highly versatile for various beverage preparations.
Seamless Magnetic Hose Integration
Connecting the cloche to the main gravity infuser is streamlined through a specialized magnetic port located on the wooden base. This port securely attaches to the included silicone hose, allowing the gravity-powered smoke to flow directly into the sealed chamber. The magnetic system ensures a tight seal during operation while allowing for quick detachment when the smoke-infusion process is complete and the beverage is ready to serve.
Versatile Culinary and Mixology Application
While primarily utilized to craft complex smoked cocktails and mocktails, the internal capacity allows for creative culinary applications as well. Users can place small plates of appetizers, cheeses, or desserts onto the platform before covering them with the plastic dome. By introducing smoke from materials like cherry or applewood chips, it effortlessly imparts deep, savory aromas into diverse food items, expanding its utility well beyond standard beverage preparation.
