The RAW Hemp Wick serves as a traditional flame-transfer lighting accessory designed for users who wish to avoid direct ignition from butane lighters and standard matches. By lighting the wick first, it acts as a secondary flame source that effectively prevents butane gas, flint dust, and sulfur from interacting with the material being ignited. Sourced from sustainable European farms that avoid pesticides and chemical fertilizers, this wick caters to consumers seeking an all-natural lighting alternative. The combination of unbleached hemp fibers and natural beeswax ensures a consistent burn while keeping the product fully biodegradable, packaged entirely in recycled hemp paper.
Hand-Crafted Natural Materials
This lighting accessory is meticulously crafted using only two primary natural resources. It combines unbleached hemp fibers sourced from sustainable European farms with a coating of pure natural beeswax. The production follows a traditional process of sowing, harvesting, retting, and drying. As a result of these artisanal manufacturing methods, the wick remains entirely biodegradable and environmentally conscious.
Flame Control and Usage
Operating the wick requires lighting the end with a standard lighter or match before use. The resulting flame size is highly adjustable based on the angle at which the wick is held. Users can increase the flame by tilting the lit end downward or reduce the intensity by tilting the wick upward. It provides a consistent, slow-burning flame that must be completely extinguished manually after each session.
Water-Resistant Beeswax Coating
The addition of natural beeswax serves multiple practical functions beyond fuel. It ensures a clean and steady burn rate during use while simultaneously providing a protective exterior barrier. This unique coating repels moisture, rendering the wick highly water-resistant and reliable for use in damp conditions where traditional paper matches or untreated wicks might fail.
Versatile Length Options
Manufactured with a standard 1mm uniform thickness, the wick is available in multiple form factors to accommodate different storage needs. Users can select from highly portable, pocket-sized bundles and spools available in 10-foot, 13-foot, and 20-foot lengths. For extended volume requirements, larger balls and rolls are offered in 100-foot and 250-foot variations, providing long-lasting lighting solutions.
