The Mad Heaters Tempest 2 Slim is a battery-free, non-electronic dry herb vaporizer designed for users seeking convection-heavy extraction in a highly portable format. It transitions the high-performance tip and cap of its predecessor onto a balanced 14.5mm body, creating a longer and thinner profile. Utilizing ball vape technology, the device is heated externally via a butane torch or an induction heater, allowing the built-in thermal matrix to store and distribute heat. This setup aims to provide a full extraction in a single heat-up cycle. With precise temperature tracking capabilities, the device caters to enthusiasts wanting meticulous control over their sessions without relying on electronic components.
Advanced Thermal Matrix Technology
Housed within the head, the built-in thermal matrix utilizes approximately 40 small 3mm balls to efficiently retain and distribute heat. Depending on the chosen model, these spheres are crafted from either Quartz or Zirconia, facilitating a convection-heavy vapor delivery. This design ensures that heat is transferred consistently across the material, maximizing the extraction process without the need for integrated batteries.
Customizable Airflow and Cooling
To manage vapor temperature and draw resistance, the unit integrates a medium-length built-in cooling unit alongside an adjustable air port. Users can physically modify the airflow to achieve their preferred density, allowing for a personalized draw experience. Additionally, the device offers native 10mm WPA compatibility, ensuring seamless integration with various water pieces for further vapor conditioning.
Adjustable Micro-Dosing Capabilities
The vaporizer includes an adjustable bowl design with multiple capacity settings to accommodate different usage preferences. It introduces a precise 0.05g micro-dosing bowl position, equating to a 0.3 cc volume. This allows users to accurately measure and consume smaller quantities. Furthermore, the stem features improved bowl locking tab grooves and an upgraded track for the twist-to-lock ball screen, ensuring stable adjustments.
Intuitive Heating Feedback System
When utilizing a butane torch or compatible induction heaters like the YLL 3.0, tracking the heat cycle is streamlined through dual feedback mechanisms. The cap is equipped with a visual temperature gauge and emits audible click indicators to signal when optimal temperatures are reached. These indicators provide clear, objective metrics to help prevent overheating and maintain consistent performance across every cycle.
