Conduction

So-called conduction is one of two heating methods in which herbs begin to vaporize at the appropriate temperature.

Vaporizers that work by conduction have a self-heating filling chamber, which heats the material. The surface that is in direct contact with the herbs is heated. The heat is passed in turn; this is usually the heating chamber.

Conduction, heating the filling chamber, is currently used in most mobile vaporizers because the heating process is quick and straightforward. In addition, the following facts are also interesting:

  • the application often takes place with smaller devices
  • the construction is simple and low-maintenance
  • those vaporizers are usually cheaper

The second heating method is called convection – generally the indirect heating method.
