The Firefly 2+ is the third vaporizer released by the Firefly Vapor family and comes with a few significant improvements, including price, heat-up time, battery life, and draw resistance.
The vaporizer works with flowers and extracts and is compact enough to fit in your hand or pocket. Easy to load and clean, it’s a great device for beginners, experienced users, and anyone interested in flavor quality and vapor production.
The unit heats your material in stages thanks to dynamic heating technology, meaning it doesn’t reach your maximum temperature immediately. Still, it increases throughout your draw for full extraction of your material.
Great Design
Still small and slightly lighter than its predecessor, the Firefly 2+ boasts a classic, elegant look and feel.
The body is made from magnesium alloy and now features an illuminated logo, which also serves as a status indicator. The bowl and vapor path are made entirely from borosilicate glass, resulting in pure taste and even heating.
Easy to maintain, cleaning your Firefly 2+ after each session is recommended. The vaporizer comes with cleaning tools, and the process is quick and straightforward.
Fast Heating
The Firefly 2+heats up in 3 seconds, so you don’t have to wait long to start. The 100% convection heating and clear air path allow you to get rich flavors from your herbs or concentrate. To make it run smoothly, Firefly has improved the airflow by 33%.
The vaporizer heats dynamically across various temperatures as you inhale. In other words, your material is only heated as you draw, so you get all the compounds out of the plants without waste.
The vape has seven different temperature settings to choose from:
- 320°F (160°C)
- 340°F (171°C)
- 360°F (182°C)
- 380°F (193°C)
- 400°F (204°C)
- 419°F (215°C)
And then 500°F (260°C) for concentrates.
Smartphone Friendly
The Firefly 2+ does not have proper buttons, just two touch sensors that need a little learning to master. If you don’t have the app, you have to sit down with the manual in the beginning to understand the device better.
The app is not mandatory but makes using the vaporizer easier. You can change your preferred settings and modes through the app while seeing how much battery you have left. Plus, you can set the temperature as you like, between 200°F and 500°F (93°C and 260°C) , with the higher settings best suited for concentrates.
Rechargeable Device
The Firefly2+ has an extra-long battery life thanks to the firmware update; it uses energy better and requires less effort to heat up. It also charges faster than the old model as it is equipped with USB 3.0.
The device has a unique charging dock. Place your vape on it, and an LED will blink to indicate it’s charging. A full charge will take about 45 minutes, but within 20 minutes, it can reach 80% capacity.
